Plot

The tension in Essex County remains palpable, even as Junior Soprano attempts a strategic retreat. Seeking distance from his own mounting troubles and perhaps just to breathe air that doesn't feel like it's thick enough to chew on alone, he heads south for Boca Raton with Roberta. Their relationship has spanned sixteen years; while the public image is one of an older man seeking stability in a younger woman who knows how to handle him privately, there are clear boundaries Junior enforces regarding their intimate life and its privacy. Back at home matters come to a head between Tony's daughter Meadow and her soccer coach. The dynamic shifts when it becomes known that the instructor has been having sexual relations with one of his players rather than being solely focused on athletics or mentorship, which naturally raises eyebrows for someone as sensitive about social standing as Carmela Soprano would expect from him but also causes a stir in their daughter's circle upon discovery by Meadow.
