Plot
FBI raids on New Jersey and New York mob figures make the front page of the newspaper. Christopher reads the article and is irritated: other mobsters are named and profiled, but Christopher appears nowhere. He interprets this as a sign that he is not being taken seriously by law enforcement or by the public and therefore not by the family. He wants recognition, even the criminal kind.
Christopher tells Adriana he has been writing a screenplay about mob life, pulling directly from his own experiences. His ambitions beyond being a soldier are genuine and a running thread of dark comedy throughout the episode, as Christopher's desire to be taken seriously as a writer collides with the actual requirements of his job. Meanwhile Emil Kolar's body has not surfaced but investigative heat is up, and Tony orders everyone to be more careful about what they say and where they go.
Christopher accidentally shoots a bakery delivery man in the foot during a paranoid confrontation. His crew treats it as an embarrassing mistake rather than a criminal matter. Paulie and Silvio give him grief. Livia calls Tony about a mundane complaint and Tony, worn down, listens patiently. Melfi pushes Tony to examine why he feels responsible for everyone around him while simultaneously resenting that responsibility.
