Tony and Carmela try a therapy session together, which ends in an angry dispute. Artie, meanwhile, tries to move in on Adriana.
Plot
A volatile old-timer named Mustang Sally Intile assaults Bobby Baccalieri's elderly father, Bobby Baccalieri Sr., over a parking dispute, leaving the old man badly injured. Bobby is furious and the family must authorize a response. Tony is put in the position of sanctioning a hit on Sally, even though Sally has connections that make the situation politically complicated.
Tony is pulled over by a police officer named Wilmore who issues him a traffic ticket. Tony is briefly furious, then learns that Wilmore's father knew Tony's father -- a connection from the old Newark neighborhood. Tony attempts to have the ticket fixed through a contact at the police department. The contact cannot help. Tony is stuck with the ticket. This minor bureaucratic frustration becomes strangely consuming, a symbol of the specific ways in which his power has real limits.
The hit on Mustang Sally is eventually executed. Bobby Baccalieri Sr., despite his injuries, insists on being involved in the job himself since his son is attending a family event -- a dark subplot about an old man's refusal to be sidelined even when his body has failed him. Carmela visits a financial advisor on her own, quietly beginning to build independent financial knowledge.
